Welcome to the United Methodist Foundation for the Memphis and Tennessee Conferences (previously the Nashville Area United Methodist Foundation) and Development Fund of TN/KY, Inc.
The purpose of the Foundation is to assist United Methodists in making gifts and bequests to United Methodist churches, ministries, and institutions. We assist people in estate and tax planning as they consider various giving options. We are a ministry of financial management and consulting services for the Memphis and Tennessee Annual Conferences of The United Methodist Church.
The Foundation was established in 1941 and has experienced substantial growth since its inception.
The purpose of the Development Fund is to help United Methodist Churches, agencies, and missions across the Memphis and Tennessee Conferences thrive and grow. The Fund accepts investments from individuals, Churches, and organizations from both Annual Conferences. The Fund pays these investors a set rate of interest and makes loans to churches, agencies, and missions. The interest paid by churches that have borrowed money is usually as low as or lower than they would be charged by commercial lenders.
The Development Fund was established in 1992 and has been in continuous operation since.

Needless to say we as a country and, indeed a world, are in a unique time of financial upheaval - times which can bring with them deep concern and fear.
While not wanting to minimize the personal pain and sacrifice that many will suffer as a result of the meltdown, I do wish to sound a note of encouragement in the midst of it all. We know that God is aware of and present in all circumstances so let’s look at some potentially bright sides of an otherwise very dark situation. Click here to read more.
